Monographs of Greenland : Meddelelser om Gronland (MOG)
9x6", Excellent illustrations including photographs. These are high quality publications. Very good condition unless otherwise noted : Softcovers are slightly larger than the text block. Where they overhang, the cover edge is bumped. Edge of page block is also uneven and often bumped. Most of these have uncut pages = never used, inside in like-new condition. Some spines and edges lightly sunned. Owner's stamp. Upper edge darkened.

Published in Denmark since 1879 by the Commission for Scientific Research in Greenland, the series contains a comprehensive collection of scientific papers on Greenland. One conspicuous part of the geoscientific papers comprises the results of an epoch of expeditionary activity in East Greenland undertaken by Lauge Koch's international expeditions (1926-1958). Another part contains the 25 years of scientific results of the Geological Survey of Greenland (GGU) published between 1948 and 1975.

Almost all of the research papers are in English, the language of the title indicates those that are not in English. It was not practical to insert some special characters or degree signs. All papers are nicely illustrated within the text pages with photographs, maps and figures. Pages of plates are in addition to numbered pages of text. Many have full-color geologic maps. Please ask if you need more information on any paper.

Some of these also are numbered in the Bulletin series (NOT in numeric order) from the Gronlands Geologiske Undersogelse (Geological Survey of Greenland). This number is shown as (B #) in the listing.
