Archiwum
Mineralogiczne :
Institute of Geological Sciences - Polish Academy of
Sciences
$24 for Complete
run : 12 issues from 1984-1990. 9.5x6.5",
softcover, illustrated. Around 1,800 total pages for the group.
Very good. Some covers lightly rubbed, some faint soil on
covers. A few bumped corners. A few of the pages have darkened
a bit - this appears to be from a lower quality paper. Paper
over spine has wrinkles from original glueing. 13 pounds shipping
weight.
The issues present here are Vol. 40(1 and 2), 41(1 and 2),
42 (1 and 2), 43 (1 and 2), 44 (1 and 2), 45 (1-2, bound together),
and 46(1-2, bound together). Each issue has 5-10 technical
articles, and 100-300 pages plus plates.
Article topics are heavily weighted toward the geology of
Poland. I saw three issues with no English articles
and one with 75% English. They seem to average out at 30-50%
English, with other languages being Polish and French (rare).
Later issues have a larger percentage of English. Most (all?)
non-English
articles have English title in table of contents, English
abstract, lengthy English summary, and illustration captions
in English. Thus, even the articles in Polish
are useful to the western scientist.
