English. Around 10-15 technical papers per issue.
Softcover, nicely illustrated, including fold-outs
(more than I mention below). About 200-300p. each

Issue
three of each volume 1970 on, is a paleontology special
issue, with papers from the Swiss
Paleontology Society.
Volumes prior to number 63 (1970) have a number of
paleontology papers in issue two, with Paleo meeting
information.
Very good condition : owner's name, a few rough spine
ends. Spines slightly darkened or faintly soiled.

The title translates as “The fauna of the high mountain lakes.” The maps also show the extent of glaciers in 1900 and the photos show some of the mountain men = scientists in the field. In German. SCARCE, almost never found. (Good, except front cover board has been rubbed through the paper. This is cosmetic, not structural. Inside is generally Very Good with very good maps and photos. Has two minor page edge repairs and minor owner's marks. Spine ends and cover corners bumped and abraded in spots. Binding is Very Good.) $124
