after that. Half-leather-bound with
maroon cloth through Volume 85 (unless otherwise noted),
all maroon cloth after that. Gilt lettering on spine. All have
an index and are illustrated, including some excellent vintage
photographs and superb figures. In addition to 10-50 papers,
each issue lists current members, officers, meetings, publications,
rules, condensed proceedings, and lengthy discussions related
to the papers.
Content : I
have listed ONLY some of
the papers in each, most of them
related to individual locations. The listed papers are
just SAMPLES intended to aid those customers not familiar with
these publications. There are many other papers that are not
listed below, including a large number on assay, processing,
and production of ores, especially gold and silver. All
Petroleum volumes contain much specific production data
from oil fields the US States and various foreign countries,
as well as other technical papers.
Year :
The Year listed is the year stamped on the spine. In
early volumes, this is the year of the meetings, with the actual
publication date being the following year. This practice changed
in later years. It is best to go by volume number – ask
if you are confused.
Condition :
Good to Very Good unless otherwise noted. Insides are
clean and bright, bindings are tight. Many have an owner’s
stamp or name inside, lightly rubbed covers, lightly bumped
corners and spine ends. Upper edge is usually darkened. Color
tone of the maroon cloth covers varies a lot, many spines are
sunned. Individual condition notes beyond this are with
each listing.
