11x8.5" Staple-bound. Most are illustrated, Covers and pages may be tanned. In most cases, the text is roughly reproduced from plain type-written pages, while the plates are nicer - this appears to be the original form of publication because they are clearly older.
A few are photocopies and they are clearly marked below as such, I have done my best to tell originals from copies..

This is named as a “Strategic Minerals Investigations Preliminary Map” but does not have a number, and is clearly labeled as by the U.S.G.S., but it does not appear on the U.S.G.S. website in any form. Scale 1:48,000. Geology is crisply labeled in black on a brown and white topographic base map. Sheet measures 21” x 16” SCARCE. Very good condition (no envelope, if it ever had one. Each is 1-4 pages long, 1974-76, all are written by W. R. Bacon or J. J. Crowhurst of Bacon and Crowhurst, Vancouver. Short reports include : West End gold property (Valley county, Idaho), Twin River Resources near Stibnite, Idaho, Washington property (NE of Idaho City, Idaho), Hercules silver property (close to Cambridge, Idaho), and Sun Mines (Cuprum Quadrangle, Seven Devils Mining District, Idaho). $6

Map of Priest River Forest Reserve showing land classification and density of merchantable timber. 1898. Scale about 1" = 4 miles. This is a lovely folded color map measuring around 14" x 18" It was printed as part of Nineteenth Annual Report of the United States Geological Survey to the Secretary of the Interior 1897 - 1998: Part V -- Forest Reserves, plate 46. The map is stretches from the Pen Oreille River to Canada, the Washington state line to Bonner's Ferry. PLUS - similar attractive 1898 color map showing distribution of principal timber species - a nice pair to frame. (Good) $10

Scale 1 inch = 100 feet. .USGS, Strategic Minerals Investigations, Preliminary Maps, reproduced by training section, 2nd E. A. U. T. C. Geiger Field, WN. This was probably a reproduction (or printing) done soon after the geologist created his maps as there is no other date associated with the publication. Flat, 16x20”, three sheets, stapled at side. The sheets consist of a 1) Title page with legend, 2) Composite map of all levels, 3) Longitudinal Projection. Note : states “Workings inaccessible – no geology shown”, and last page cites a text (unnamed), but I have been unable to find any mention of a related text anywhere. Extremely SCARCE! (Good, paper in excellent condition, last sheet has come loose from staples. Each sheet has a small owner’s stamp.) $58
