USGS Water Supply Paper 255 : 1910 : Underground waters for farm use. By Myron L. Fuller. 58p., 17 plates, 27 figures. This is a surprisingly GREAT report and includes much on water pollution including fertilizer run-off and an amazing photo of a town with all the outhouses overhanging the stream.

This is the East Central part of San Bernardino county where "the water seems to be of satisfactory quality for irrigation, but the supply is apparently nowhere sufficent, and the high lift required to bring it to the surface in the main part of the valley prohibits its use for irrigation except on especially valuable crops.
